jungle retreat near the rock
jungle feelingamazing viewattentive staff
i enjoyed the grounds a lot. it feels like you are walking in a jungle with water features integrated everywhere. the pool also provided an amazing view of the rock. the staff always had a smile for you, i found this wonderful.
the room looked a little dated and in need of some refreshing.

the hotel sits near the rock and the village center. it is easy to walk to both during the day, i enjoyed the short distances. elephants walk the roads at night.

the staff was helpful and always smiling. laundry service exists and provided clean clothes on the same day. this service was efficient.

rooms are spacious. there is a big shower and a bath available. cabins are well maintained, i thought them good. the garden feels large.

the pool provides a great view of lion rock. the grounds were massive, this adds to the relaxing atmosphere. breakfast includes many options and mixes western with local food.

a pretty base to climb
clean roomsbuffet breakfastdamp smelltired areas
we stayed for two nights and found a great base for climbing. we booked two rooms and both were clean. the main building with the bar was nice. breakfast had plenty of choice and all were well prepared.
one of the rooms had a damp smell, it's true. outdoor areas felt a little tired and needed refurbishment. the peaceful setting was good, despite that.

the rooms were very clean and tidy.
i found high taxes a bit scammy. the staff froze when i asked about the taxes, started talking amongst themselves, and stared at me. they refused to give us a real answer..
