a beautiful stay

great helpfulnesscomfortable bedbathroom space
the staff displayed great helpfulness at reception i found. the views were nice from my balcony, it overlooked the greenery. the room was large and the bed was very comfortable. housekeeping provided personal touches, it made ME smile.
the bathroom was small with little space, i found it cramped. the royal pavillion restaurant advertised a discount. the front desk was not aware, delaying MY plans.

Breakfast had so many food varieties, it was amazing to see. a yara tea station WAS available. I have not seen it at other hotels. staff were friendly, it made dining enjoyable.

the pool WAS large, and the kids enjoyed themselves. the gym seemed reasonable with enough equipment. the location offers views of the surrounding area, very green and calm.

the breakfast buffet had a good variety of choices. the portions were perfect. the staff was always ready to assist. the food was AMAZING!!!
the shower door did not close properly. it created a pool of water in the bathroom. the shower cubicle had some mould. the room telephones displayed incorrect numbers.

i enjoyed the well kept rooms and the friendly cleaning staff (lahiru and eranda!) who kept the space wonderfully clean. the hotel offered a nice fitness area and a very long, well kept pool. the buffet featured superb selections, a delicious experience with a huge variety of options.
i noticed some minor points that could use attention, such as the hospitality tray not being replenished upon check-in.

the hotel is close to all sites around peradeniya. the hotel itself is surrounded by lush green trees, a peaceful setting for a relaxing visit. i appreciated the proximity to nearby attractions.

underwhelming stay with maintenance issues

well maintained groundsfaulty shower doordifficult communication
the hotel grounds was well maintained and presentable upon arrival.
the room showed signs of neglect the shower door did not close properly resulting in water spillage the telephone had incorrect labeling i contacted reception multiple times however communication was difficult due to staff's limited understanding i found this quite frustrating.
