I found the room quite disappointing. The noise insulation was virtually nonexistent. i could hear everything happening in adjacent rooms, from conversations to bathroom activities. the bathroom fixtures looked dated, i think they need an upgrade.

the afternoon tea had stacked plates filled with savory scotch eggs, sausage rolls, and pies (i enjoyed the variety!). sandwiches occupied the middle tier, with cakes on the bottom. i found the staff helpful when i asked for a box to enjoy the leftover cakes later. we got moved to a room with an outside view quickly and efficiently. all the staff were polite.
my room's window was a bit narrow and lacked natural light.
