Wonderful Hotel Stay

The hotel staff was very friendly. The buffet meals had very nice diversity. Sagarika Priyangani and Kawya Perera really gave credit to the ethos. The hotel tried hard to achieve it with the guests. Finally, the hotel is a pick to explore the cultural triangle. You can visit Dambulla rock caves. You can also visit Habana wildlife park.

Our room had old windows. These windows blocked the views. There were not many vegetarian options available. Also everything feels old including the pillow covers. It reminded me of they have not been changed since the hotel was first built.

i stayed here for five nights the rooms were comfortable they had all amenities. monkeys watched us as much as we watched them on our balcony it was funny. the food in the buffet had great choice it was lovely.

i was disappointed the staff didn't guide us well. no one told us what activities were available. it seemed they favored foreign visitors. some amenities and towels were missing i waited over two hours to get them.

The views were great from the room, I could see mountains and the lake. The bathroom was big and well-kept (I liked the separate sinks).

The room felt a bit outdated with the plain decor. I also noticed some insects in the room, like spiders. The food options were limited since the location is remote.

The timeless design by geoffrey bawa amazes, perfectly integrating with the surrounding nature. the breakfast buffet had a marvelous spread. I especially loved the fresh fruit selection (a good start to each day!). i spent my evenings enjoying live music. The flute player created hauntingly beautiful melodies at sunset.

The soundproofing was lacking. I could hear footsteps and noise from the hallway. this did disrupt the peace at times, but i still found the stay overwhelmingly positive.

the beautiful king room included mountain and lake views, letting me wake up to amazing sights each morning. the room was spacious, with a super comfy bed and a big bathroom. i loved showering while monkeys curiously looked on.

the staff offered excellent and attentive service, meeting all our requests promptly and with courtesy. i was especially impressed with the quick check-in and efficient valet parking system. every staff member seemed genuinely happy to assist us.

the gym was well-equipped, having everything needed for a good workout. the pools were another highlight, particularly the infinity pool overlooking the lake where i witnessed an elephant drinking water one evening. this was such a magical sight.

the location prove fine. staff show themselves courteous, and i appreciate that. i love breakfast and dinner buffet, a very good spread. i like swimming in the pool near the lake, the water are very clear.

i notice windows needed cleaning. the view are obstructed and it impact the experience. i hope it will be solved soon. it bothers me.
