charming hotel with excellent service

The beautiful double room was spacious and clean. the food was delicious with a varied menu. all staff were very accommodating and friendly, nothing seemed too much trouble. i received a free upgrade on arrival. I was very happy with this.
The breakfast service was disappointing. It could be improved. the bed mattress felt old.

The hotel is very picturesque with wisteria draped over the doorways. there is a nice base to return to. the overall experience was lovely. The lady at the desk helped me navigate my luggage transfer.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere. The food was acceptable.
The air conditioning in the room barely functioned. It was very disappointing. my room faced the street, i was often awoken by cars. the bed was also quite uncomfortable. I did not sleep well.

the inn was a dream, steeped in history and i felt myself transported. the staff greeted us with such kindness, it was like stepping into a warm embrace. our room was super clean, and so restful and the linens so soft i found myself lost in peace.
i did find the road outside our window a little loud in the morning as i love to sleep in.

the restaurant has an excellent wine selection and i savored my dinner with a lovely glass of white. breakfast included many choices served with grace and efficiency, and i appreciated every bit. it was wonderful.

the historic fireplace in the snug bar is original and wide and it really made the inn a great place to sit and relax. the clock tower located nearby added to the unique character i loved. the gardens in summer looked so beautiful.

the inn is located in center and i found this very useful. being a short walk to the train station made travel so easy. the market, so close, offered a lot of local charm and i liked exploring there.

the service i got was really good and everyone was so helpful and kind. i watched staff go above and beyond to meet guests needs. their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. i felt so cared for.

the room includes high quality toiletries, and this was a welcome surprise. the room was cleaned so well and this was very appreciated. the bed, a haven, gave me peaceful rest and relaxation, i loved it.

The room was very clean. It was a Superior Double Room. The evening meal was excellent. I thought the service was good.
The shower attachment did not work. I told the reception about it. I was told no action would happen on a Sunday. The plumbing was bad because it took minutes for the hot water to come through

the room had all necessary amenities. it was furnished nicely too. the location was central for visiting nearby towns. the position was excellent.
the room was very warm, with no air conditioning. i only found fans in the room. opening the window was noisy because the room faced the high street! there was only one plug available for charging devices.
