The breakfast was AMAZING!!! the spa swimming pool was very welcome. the staff were lovely. All of them. log fires in the evening were a nice touch too.
the gym is tiny, with only 2 running machines. it's also full of non-hotel guest members. there is very little floor space for any mat exercises.

grounds are beautifully kept! it was really easy to find with a long driveway. our room was so lovely with a very comfortable bed and a gorgeous bathroom. it had everything we needed with fresh water every day and fresh homemade cookies!
veggie options were limited at dinner and lunch! i did end up eating out most nights because of this. pool area seating was a bit lacking, but the pool is smaller.

The bedroom felt large and very comfortable. bathroom toiletries were lovely, such a treat. i found the staff polite and very helpful. They accommodated all my requests. breakfast offered many options. Everything was fresh.
I booked afternoon tea , but the waitresses seemed inattentive after the initial seating. i needed to ask for milk multiple times. follow-up tea or coffee refills never came. Gaining their attention proved difficult.
