Mixed Experience, Cleanliness and Noise Issues

The location allows for walks straight from the hotel.

I was disappointed with the room. Spider webs were visible around the room. No tea or coffee facilities were present (an oversight, I felt). Noisy heating pipes constantly knocked throughout the night, disturbing my sleep (the noise was awful).

The location offered convenient access to nearby walking trails. the breakfast included a great selection of choices. The full english was particularly well-prepared. staff members were consistently helpful. They were very responsive to requests.

the breakfast was satisfactory. i appreciated the availability of freshly cooked options. the staff members were helpful with our itinerary (they provided us with useful information).

the cleanliness of the room was not satisfactory. i noticed spider webs around the room. the bedding also looked to have stains. i found the tea and coffee making facilities were not readily available in the room.

fine location lovely pub well-equipped hut excellent cuisine

we stayed in the shepherd's hut for a weekend and found it perfect. the location was fine, with a lovely pub on site. the shepherd's hut itself was well-equipped, clean, and relaxing. breakfast and dinner in the pub were both excellent, offering a good culinary experience.

during our stay, the room felt slightly cold and could benefit from a refresh.

We stayed in room five located within the cottage. It was a superior double room. the extra-large bed was very soft, which my husband loved. a comfy sofa and armchair offered ample seating. lots of storage space was available for clothing.

Tranquil Base for Peak District Exploration

I found a lovely pub with excellent lunch, dinner and breakfast. Service was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble. I walked easily to town, about ten minutes away. Many trails start right at the front door.

The room needed some updating, I saw signs of mold. Bedside cabinets had sharp laminate edges that peeled away.
