the location of the hotel was acceptable, it made it simple to explore local attractions.
my room was too warm . i had to leave a window open, and street noise disturbed me as a result. also, i think the food cost too much, especially considering the slow service in the restaurant.

The staff were kind and helpful. Alastair earned special mention. I particularly enjoyed the vanilla filled cake that arrived in our room each afternoon, such a romantic gesture. The location proved excellent. A pretty village provided pubs and beautiful countryside with interesting historical sights and towns nearby.
the food felt overpriced with slow service. A more budget friendly option for dinner would be nice. This would give guests more choice.

The hotel has mature trees surrounding the garden. a wide drive approaches the front. I found it very attractive. gardens are kept to a high standard. the entrance fits with the period.

Breakfast consisted of three courses. It was satisfying. there are options of full english breakfasts. the restaurant had a lovely meal and it was beautifully done. the portions were generous.

Room 8, the garden room, was beautifully decorated and clean. our room was aGROUND floor with doors opening into the garden. It provided fresh cool air. the bathroom included fluffy white towels and toiletries.

breakfast was excellent. the staff were very cute, and they were friendly too. the room was great, especially the bed. my wife slept the whole night for the first time in any hotel room!
the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been. the shower water goes all over the room. it floods it.

i found the staff to be very cute upon arrival. the provided coffee and tea in my king room were a lovely touch. breakfast featured excellent table service and a varied menu. the food arrived hot and perfectly prepared.
the gate width requires considerable attention when driving into the hotel.

i liked the little garden just outside the room. the bed was comfy too, it made for good sleep. there was plenty of parking, it made things easier. the bar was comfortable and i relaxed there.
the dinner menu didn't have many options to my taste.
