The room decor was spacious and beautiful, everything one needs and more. The provided Roberts radio was a NICE touch, including cafetiere coffee, bottled milk, and biscuits. Breakfast was really delicious and the personnel were very helpful and friendly. I WILL return for leisure instead of business.

a mixed experience

The service was quite slow, especially in the restaurant area. i had to go inside to order my drinks. It seemed like it would have taken forever otherwise. also, the floor in my room felt very uneven. it made it a little uncomfortable to sleep well.

food was excellent with great choice for dinner. i had lovely breakfast with many options. staff was wonderful and made a fuss of my dog. the room included a dyson FAN which worked well. there were complimentary drinks in the minibar.
there was no drawer space in room and lighting very poor. it was difficult to do hair and make up AS mirrors were located in tricky spaces. i couldn't open windows so it was hot in room.

the decor incorporated period furniture and interesting art. there was a cosy atmosphere with separate dining and lounge areas. the complimentary prosecco was a nice addition, i really liked it. i enjoyed my meal and the service when i ate in the restaurant.
the soft drinks were on tap, so it was syrup and not bottle soft drink like coke or pepsi, which i think is cheaper. there also wasn't a lot of choice on cocktails.

mixed feelings about my stay

the shower was good and ideally located
i booked a superior room i arrived on a friday afternoon but the bar was packed with no one at reception throughout our stay the service was really poor the price of their lager gets a special mention as it was particularly extortionate and then as residents there wasn't actually any where to sit.
