lovely setting, fantastic facilities

i found the setting was beautiful. the hotel rooms were fantastic (bridal suite as well as the rooms other family members booked). the breakfast bars and cafe and restaurants were also amazing, with really team was good and polite. the location was fantastic for children given the park and the walks via farm animals. it was great that it has the option to feed alpacas too.
on a tuesday, the service at granary kitchen was initially good, but we had to ask multiple times for basics like water and cutlery. the staff often chatted around the bar with their backs to the restaurant. i would have liked better service.

the grounds were perfect for photos. children enjoyed playing safely with ample space to run around. guests found the setting picturesque with the river running by the side of it.

i found the facilities great and the food excellent. i took advantage of the farm walks. my youngest child loved seeing the animals at close hand. there was a focus on relaxation, fun, enjoyment and peace.

the riverside lodge featured a gated driveway and provided substantial privacy (a great touch). the lodge is situated directly on the river with the lake located behind it. the christmas lights enhanced the experience. we stayed in a family room, it was lovely.

we celebrated our first anniversary here and booked a private hut. the staff really took care of us, from the reception to the restaurants. i have eaten here several times since we chose it for our wedding venue and the food is consistently amazing (i especially enjoyed the steaks).
