surprisingly lovely stay
helpful staff fresh milk comfy bed
I found the staff very helpful. Phoebe may even brought fresh milk to our room. i had left the container on our table at dinner, a kindness. the bed was comfy and the daily cleaning was good.

The room had quality tea and coffee. It also had quality clean towels. I appreciate the hot bath in the room. The TV was good to watch from the bed.
The shower had scalding hot water even at its lowest temperature. The water ran down the wall unless I held the shower head. Some food was slow arriving to tables. We only got half of my food order.

garden view river location poor breakfast missing croissant
The garden offered a superb view. Plenty of tables were available, and the location by the river felt very cosy.
The breakfast was very poor. There were no croissants available despite them being recorded on the menu. I also found only one towel for the shower in a room booked for two people.

decent food good selection
The hotel offered a well kept car park that accommodated many vehicles. I appreciated the restaurant atmosphere. It had decent food and a good selection of drinks.
The room showed some signs of wear with wallpaper peeling slightly.

There are 10 ground floor rooms available, all equipped with showers, although only 4 rooms have a shower over a bath. No lifts are available at the hotel. Is there a room option with twin beds available?
