mediocre stay with some issues

untrained staff broken room key
the breakfast had a decent variety of fresh options.
The staff seemed untrained. My room key stopped working at 1 am, and it took ages to get it sorted. i had to go up and down multiple times. The staff insisted i was using it wrong, frustrating, and when another worker finally came to help, he also couldn't open the door. i waited an hour for them to open it!

the staff was helpful. maria at the reception was particularly kind and helpful. there is a supermarket near the hotel. a gym is also nearby, and maria provided a ticket for it. it was a kind gesture.
The city tax was an unexpected charge.

The building itself is a beautiful historic structure. i appreciated the skybar. It gave a tremendous view of the surrounding area. breakfast had great choices. There was a fantastic range of food available each morning.
the air conditioning in the room wasn't working well. it made for a warm and uncomfortable night. the furniture in the room was dated. this gave a less than ideal feel, to my experience.

Excellent stay.

attentive staff beautiful design
My stay featured attentive and accommodating staff. They ensured every aspect was perfect. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. I found the morning breakfast had a RANGE of culinary delights to suit every taste!
The air conditioning did not work for the first night and it was a VERY warm summer night. I slept poorly since the window only opened a little bit. I told the front desk and maintenance was supposed to have looked at it but there was still no ac.

The hotel offered a convenient supermarket nearby and was very close to bus and tram lines. I found a lovely walk along the river just down the road so I could enjoy the fresh air and explore the surrounding area.

The breakfast service included a good selection of food. The staff provided complimentary Prosecco on arrival. I found a bottle of water offered upon checking out, which i really appreciated to stay hydrated during my travels.

The room included a well-stocked minibar, and room service was available if i wanted snacks. I found that prices seemed fair, though i did not use the service. I appreciated how spacious and clean the room was .

Mixed feelings about my stay

slow service missing iron
I found the reception service VERY slow. I requested an iron TWICE, but it never arrived. The staff did not inform me about the hotel's facilities or options upon check-in (everything I needed to know, I had to ask about.).
