The gym had up to date equipment. That was acceptable.

The hotel looks tired in parts. Carpets in the rooms need replacement. My room had a double bed and two singles. It would be cramped with four people. The room stayed cold the entire time. Adjusting the temperature control did not help.

The room was a bit of a letdown. I found it cramped with an overly thick duvet, and the pillows offered minimal support. My departure was frustrating. I left my debit card in the key slot. I called the hotel, and they said they would check with housekeeping, but they never bothered to call me back. I had to cancel the card.

I checked in early. Soumya welcomed me warmly and told me my room wasn't ready until 3pm though he would get me one early. As an IHG rewards member he offered me A complimentary drinks voucher and THAT was very kind. He found me in the restaurant to advise me someone had checked out and a room would be available for me in 30 minutes.

The breakfast was AWFUL! I ordered a full english with tea. It arrived cold and had clingfilm over the plates. The tea came with A paper cup not ceramic. There was A large dessert spoon not teaspoon for my tea, and no sugar.

I found the staff cute. Their smiles were radiant. soumya greeted me with such warmth. he ensured i felt at home right away. breakfast offered a good selection, a feast for the senses each morning.

the noise was noticeable because of the busy road junction nearby. windows did not completely block out the sounds of the city. i found it a little disruptive when trying to rest.
