the breakfast was acceptable, with a good selection of items.
the main lights in my room failed. the fabric blinds would not stay up, so very little daylight entered. an extractor fan was not working, so there was black mould on the shower ceiling. the room was definitely not ideal.

The location was central. I found many interesting shops nearby. the staff were very friendly and helpful. breakfast provided a variety of well-cooked choices.
The room i had was quite small with twin beds pushed together. The space felt limited. a window seemed broken, it was covered with cardboard. the barman was swearing loudly which was inappropriate.

the team member offered a nice welcome. the historic pub was imaginatively restored. the room featured a comfy bed and was well furnished with a claw bath.
the room cleaning could be better. i noticed a soiled toilet brush. the light and fan fitting had exposed terminals in the shower area, posing a potential safety issue.

I encountered a problem with the room lighting. The main lights did not work. it was difficult to manage without proper lighting. furthermore, the blinds were not effective. They failed to stay up, limiting natural daylight in the room.

I found the room really lovely and clean with tea and coffee. The evening meal was AMAZING!!! I ate minted lamb pie, fish and chips, and pecan pie. The cooked breakfast was also excellent, I have to say.
The hotel does not have its own car park. I had to park in a pay car park and walk. The public car park was a short walk away, I did find it a bit inconvenient.

The breakfast includes a lot of options. A friendly woman serves it. I enjoyed a lovely breakfast with lots of choice. I found it to be a great start to the day.

The hotel dates back to 1579. It is beautifully maintained. The rooms are all different shapes and sizes. They do not have air conditioning.

adequate stay with some downsides
poor lightingfire escape staircase
i found some aspects disappointing. the bathroom lacked adequate lighting. also, accessing the hotel after 10 pm via the fire escape staircase felt unsafe because of poor lighting and some loitering men. i probably would not recommend it for solo travelers.
