We were shown to the Memories room. It included a comfortable four-poster bed (I really liked the bedding). The spa bath was great, and housekeeping kept the room clean each day.

Our room was not as nice as the rooms in the photos. Showering in the bathtub was awkward because the curtain was too short. The door stuck making it hard to open and close (maybe it needs some lubricant?).

The promised bar never opened. It looked like a storage area. the room was not cleaned very well. I saw stains on the pillows. i did not see anyone from staff when i checked out.

the location on the main street is great. the public area decor is superb. the lilac room was grand. the room had panoramic views from the dormer window. tea and coffee facilities were supplied.

the sheets were too small for the bed. they had shoved a mattress protector under the bottom sheet. this did not even fit causing it to be lumpy.

the breakfast buffet table had a lovely choice of cereals. fruits and fruit juice were available. the hotel provided tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. the hotel offers free parking at a nearby location.

the staff are super. hospitality appears to come very naturally. reception staff, waiting staff, bar staff, and the chef are all approachable. the service was fairly quick, however, there was no interaction.
