I loved the well-designed rooms. Each one had everything i needed, from the great refreshment tray with homemade cookies to quality toiletries. the staff were excellent.. nothing was too much trouble for them. i also noticed their attention to detail matched customer service levels at many 4 or 5-star hotels i've stayed in. excellent value for money made the beautiful location even better.

the bedroom was a bit small, though very clean and well kept. i noticed modern finishes in the decor, but they didn't entirely complement the building's older style.

THE room was spacious, and it had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast offered a GREAT choice of food, it was a good start to the day.

underwhelming stay, some issues found

tough steak no compensation

the location was good for exploring the area.

the ribeye steak i ordered was tough. i left half of it, and the staff did not offer any compensation. the steak cost £34, so it made for an expensive, disappointing meal.
