Really good Stay in the Dales

My room was luxurious and it was spotlessly clean. Menu choices seemed fantastic and the chef excelled with the dinner I had. Breakfast was also first rate, so it was a great experience. Patton and Sue were very knowledgeable about the area and looked after us well .

There was repetitive piped music.

The hotel sits in a wonderful location. The views across western Wensleydale were fine and I enjoyed the scenery . It is also great to have the building with some history.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They provided treats and water for my dog and also explained the menu. They seemed to live locally and were full of useful ideas for places to visit.

The grounds are lovely and offer plenty of seating. I enjoyed the opportunity to enjoy a drink outdoors. The hotel is dog friendly and caters well for dogs, with a comfortable bed in the room.

there was no safe place to store my bicycle near the hotel, it made me anxious.
