i returned with family and dogs for my birthday this year. the staff were friendly and relaxed. the rooms were beautiful (recently refurbished). it is a wonderful, dog-friendly hotel with excellent value.
i noticed the shower was very small.

the radiator in my room was turned off at the tap. the room felt very cold. a fully used set of toiletries sat in my bathroom. someone else's body wash remained in the shower.

the bar staff paid attention to the presentation of drinks. the food for dinner was really good. (i especially liked the steak) i enjoyed the spacious games room with activities including pool and darts.
the coffee i had could have been better.
