the grounds are fine. the area feels like a fairytale. our room, a double room garden view, was comfortable (i really appreciated the upgrade!). marshmallows were provided, and i toasted them in the fire.
i wasn't happy there were loads of dogs. i also didn't like that the internet didn't work anywhere. when we asked if we could change our room, we were told no rooms were available (this was disappointing).

Wonderful Garden Room Experience
easy unloadingriverside walkroom decoration
i found the garden room so convenient because i parked right outside for easy unloading. the spa was a definite bonus on a hot day, and the girls were both polite and very helpful. i found a great walk mapped out for visitors in the area near the river. the village was pretty to explore.
i think the rooms do not have the decoration that a luxury hotel should have. our room did not have any pictures or soft furnishings plus there was no minibar. i feel that there could have been more attention to detail in the rooms.
