The bed was fluffy. It was the coziest bed I have ever experienced. The Stanford Suite was beautiful, with wood paneling and antique furniture. The room also had modern amenities. Both bathrooms included marble.
Service was slow. It lacked attentiveness. The wait time for the initial course of the tasting menu was lengthy.

The grounds are just magnificent! A walk through the forest behind the building was very PLEASANT. I found the hotel has a large heated outdoor pool and also a treatment spa. The Cliveden Butler Pantry is a very good idea. it is much more stylish and better than an ordinary mini bar in the room and very special.
Before arrival, I emailed to ask about charging possibilities for the car and for an exact address for the navigation. I didn't receive an answer after three emails. Upon arrival, the receptionist said breakfast could NOT be brought to the room. This information proved incorrect as there was the usual form available. The restaurant was of mediocre quality.
