dave, the porter, impressed me with his enthusiasm for helping guests with luggage.. his positive attitude was amazing. pearl, the housekeeping staff, was very helpful in providing details about getting to glasgow. she even walked us to a shortcut to the bus stop. natalie, a breakfast staff member, was attentive and quick to replenish drinks and clear used dishes.
The spa is in a separate building, which required walking outside. This was inconvenient in colder months.

The rooms include amenities such as a fridge stocked with water and milk. a coffee machine with tea and biscuits. Bathrobes and slippers are also available. a hairdryer and iron with board are provided for convenience. Bathrooms feature lovely products and some even have televisions. beds are comfortable and storage space is ample.

Really good Stay at a Charming Hotel

I spent several days at this hotel and really appreciated the convenient parking. My room included a cozy king bed and two comfortable armchairs. Breakfast offered fresh fruit and pastries (the croissants were delicious!). The spa offered a hydro pool that I loved.
The corridor carpets showed slight wear.

The entrance was cute. the staff explained the day. i knew what to expect because i had anxiety. The tour meant i was instantly at ease! the afternoon tea was very acommodating to my strawberry allergy.
the pool facilities were used around 3pm on tuesday 21st jan. i was shocked to see one parent lounging by the pool whilst her children were eating sweetie lollipop sticks in the pool. this felt unsafe!

The room i stayed in requires updating. i noticed stains on the walls and marks were visible throughout. the bar area also experienced a leak in the roof one night during rainfall. Portable heaters became necessary because it was quite cold. the beer selection at the bar was also quite poor. drinks were served in cheap pint glasses, a detail i find unacceptable for a four-star hotel.
