The cottage had its own private garden in both the front and rear. Direct access was possible without needing to go through the hotel (very useful for privacy). The hotel's interior design featured modern contemporary fittings. The food offered traditional British dishes cooked to a high standard.
The room temperature was a little high.

excellent showerfriendly staffold mattressmissing air conditioning
The room had beautiful decor. The bathroom was super clean and included an excellent shower. We also appreciated the attentive and friendly staff (they were a lovely balance).
The room had some dust. The mattress felt old and lumpy. Air conditioning was not available, a downside (especially during warmer days).
