amazing castle stay!

dog friendly dining room delicious breakfast helpful attitude

I stayed in a beautiful room. It had great high-back chairs perfect for cards. the dog-friendly policy meant my shiba had a super time exploring the woodlands. the evening meal and breakfast in the dining room were both delicious! every staff member was kind. I especially appreciated their helpful attitude (it made everything so smooth).

The castle toilets could use a bit of tidying. I noticed some areas needed better cleaning.

excellent castle stay

spacious room comfortable bed luxury toiletries

the room was spacious it had a comfortable four poster bed. we found robes and slippers in our room. the bathroom included a good shower over the bath and luxury toiletries. we also enjoyed the plentiful afternoon tea with prosecco. breakfast included a large choice of cooked items and the full fried breakfast was among the best i have eaten.

i found the absence of elevators inconvenient. the castle has many stairs and no public lifts to all floors it has only a service lift.

the room featured a large four poster bed a comfortable seating area and ample storage space. it also had sky tv and tea and coffee making facilities we thought it was a nice touch.

the restaurant is on the ground floor and it offers a great breakfast. afternoon tea featured a wide selection and the staff was very helpful. we found the restaurant service excellent overall.

the hotel provides car parking and the reception staff is very friendly. the castle offers a tour each day and i found it worthwhile. the tour guide was also very informative about the castle's history.
