A decent stay AT A resort
good equipment high standard good dinner rotten wood tired room estate superior
The gym has good equipment. i find it wasn't ever too busy, so I could always do my workout. Breakfast AND dinner were both quite good. The restaurant service was of a high standard.
The photos do not match the actual rooms. The rooms look tired so this is disappointing. The bathrooms looked old and have rotten wood so i didn't like that.

superb stay!
manor suite large bed gym equipment
the manor suite was very spacious and well kept. the large bed provided great comfort. i found the details inside the suite lovely. the surrounding area looked beautiful and well looked after. the gym was better than what i expected. it went way above the equipment that i had seen at many hotels.
i noticed quite unhelpful signs around the manor house.

I experienced very pleasant staff throughout the hotel. They were always very willing to assist with any requests. the breakfast service had excellent staff with fantastic views. the staff provided excellent service.

i was really impressed with the variety of games available at the resort. entertainment and leisure facilities were varied. the gym had equipment that surpassed many hotels. the activities available catered to both adults and children.

mixed feelings about my stay
dirty showers cold showers
The pool area was a letdown. the showers were cold and pretty dirty, especially the shower heads. it reminded me of i was showering in a barnyard, not a resort. the whole experience was far from the relaxing treat i'd hoped for. Next time, i'll pack my own cleaning supplies..

no signage unclear hub
the gym had plenty equipment and i was able to do my workout.
there wasnt any signage to say where to check in. the hub looked like it might be a leisure centre and nothing to do with the hotel, it wasnt clear. i felt sorry for the staff.

high damage deposit awful access
The grounds had beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.
I was asked for a £250 damage deposit upon arrival. This wasn't clearly stated when I booked. the access roads were awful, it's difficult to get around the area.

quiet areas comfy room
the grounds were beautiful, with quiet and peaceful areas. the pool area was a nice size, and the room felt comfortable and inviting. staff members were polite and helpful .
I noticed the bathroom could use some updating. The toilet didn't flush correctly. also, the bath panel showed some wear. i hope they can address these issues to improve the overall experience.
