wonderful and charmed stay

friendly welcome clean room good bed helpful staff

i appreciated the friendly and helpful welcome. the rooms were very clean and tidy. the bed and bathroom were both of a good standard. i found the staff very helpful and polite.

The menu was a little limited for my liking, but that is personal choice. What we had to eat was very nice.

the bedroom was spacious and nicely equipped. the bathroom was likewise appointed. tea-making facilities and fresh milk in the fridge were appreciated. the bed was very comfortable.

staff were friendly and knowledgeable regarding the local area. evening meal and breakfast were excellent. the quality of ingredients was very good. the little extras in the room are welcome additions, particularly the bottle of cider.

the location is lovely in hampshire countryside. butser hill is nearby, so is butser ancient farm. queen elizabeth country park is close, too. plenty of places to visit, then, without travelling too far.

big bathroom real milk

the accessible room had a big bathroom with many handrails. the fridge also had a little bottle of real milk, a welcome change.

the free wifi worked poorly. i only got signal in the doorway and not in the room.

quality shampoo coffee machine walk-in shower

The premier double room had a fridge with bottled water and milk. A coffee pod machine was also available in the room. The walk-in shower was a delight. It came with quality shampoos and shower gels (the lavender scent was so relaxing!).

The pillows were not as soft as I would have liked.

double sink attentive staff awful mattress unclean table

the room was spacious. i really loved having a double sink. the breakfast was amazing!!! the food was good and the staff were very attentive.

The mattress in my room was awful. it had a very deep hole in it and should have been replaced a long time ago. tables were not regularly cleaned in the bar area. Spilled salt remained for days.
