charming historic gem

superb service relaxed atmosphere
the team provided superb service and great recommendations throughout my stay. the inner courtyard featured picturesque details adding to the relaxed atmosphere. i found the breakfast buffet fresh and plentiful offering a great start to each day. the hotel is well-positioned near the cathedral and real alcázar allowing easy access to attractions.
my room was oddly set up and the decor seemed a little trashy. a coffee table obstructed movement and i had to request its removal. the bathroom had heavy glass doors and the tub felt out of place within the bedroom. i noticed a slightly musty odor too.

mixed feelings on the stay

small room inadequate bed
the hotel's location was okay, fairly central to places i wanted to see.
The room was way too small, i felt a bit claustrophobic. also, the bed was a real letdown. Its size wasnt adequate for two persons. it also reminded me of it had no proper ventilation, just a view into the inner courtyard, which wasnt very appealing.

The staff was helpful with parking advice. It helped a lot.
The room decor felt cheap. A coffee table blocked movement around the room. It was removed. The bathroom was odd with heavy glass doors and an out-of-place tub. A musty smell suggested mildew.

Excellent Staff and Great Location

helpful staff excellent drinks great breakfast
Aziz at reception was very helpful. He walked us to our room at check-in. He gave us information about the surrounding area and made suggestions. Fran mixed excellent drinks at the bar, and she served us in the garden area. The breakfast buffet had a great selection.. Free coffee and cookies were available from 5-7pm.
The room setup felt odd, and the decor seemed a bit worn. A coffee table was removed to allow for better movement. The bathroom had heavy glass doors, and the tub was in the bedroom.

charming hotel stay

central courtyard helpful staff
i really liked the central courtyard. we enjoyed it each evening. the staff helped with our luggage because taxis could not get right to the door due to narrow alleyways. i noticed super cleanliness everywhere.
the fried fish was great for a few mouthfuls. however, it tasted strongly of vinegar, and that was unpleasant. the same vinegar overpowered the fried rice.
Facilities
9/10
the rooftop jacuzzi offered really good views of the cathedral and provided a lovely temperature in the sun. breakfast was good. i also noticed the restaurant had good food and variety on the menu.
Location
10/10
the hotel has an excellent location a short walk from the city center attractions. it is in the heart of barrio santa cruz, and everything is very close. i found many bars and restaurants within easy reach.
