RELAXING stay in WOODLAND setting

ample spacelarge patioquick staffextra pillows
My room included two armchairs. I found ample space for luggage. The grounds featured a large patio, a lovely area for relaxation. The staff quickly fulfilled my request for extra pillows.
Facilities
9/10
The grounds provided easy access for less mobile guests. A bar was on the ground floor. The patio area was quite large and suitable for various activities. I found the bar well-stocked and inviting.
Location
9/10
The hotel is set deep in woodland. It provides simple access to the New Forest. I noticed this LOCATION made it ideal for exploring the surrounding natural areas. I could easily drive to nearby attractions.
Service
10/10
Emails and pre-arrival organisation were efficient. Staff were attentive without being over the top. I observed that the staff tried hard to ensure every request was fulfilled. I was impressed by the positive and helpful approach.

mixed feelings about recent stay

missing slatsimmediate payment
the extra bed requested for my son was unacceptable. several slats were missing, causing the mattress to sag significantly. even with spare towels placed underneath, it was like sleeping on the floor.. i informed the reception staff, but they dismissed it by saying it's normal for older children. i also found it unusual to pay for dinner immediately, with no option to charge it to the room.

The beautiful room had plenty of space. It was cosy and had everything i needed. Breakfast was one of THE best in a british hotel. Dinner was perfect as well.
i wasn't told about the pool being closed. This happened after we had already booked the hotel. the staff overall weren't very helpful.
