fresh towels buffet style short walk

i visited this hotel and found the room impeccably clean the fresh white towels were a nice touch and the bedding felt immaculate the restaurant presented the food well and it tasted excellent the lady at reception gave a very warm welcome and the wood burner in the bar area was appreciated considering the weather outside. the breakfast provided hot food buffet style and eggs were cooked freshly on request parking was ample and the high street was only a short walk away i really liked this setup.

the bathroom felt slightly dated i stayed two nights and would have liked my mini bottle of shower gel to be replaced on the second day

underwhelming stay

small room early check-in fee

the room was quite small, and maneuvering around the bed proved difficult. the bathroom felt very basic. i also found the additional charge for an early check-in a bit much, especially given the room's size. it just didn't feel like good value for the money i paid.

a satisfactory experience

lovely garden helpful staff restaurant diner dated bathroom lazy reception pricey menu

the staff helped my wife curl her hair since we couldn't find anyone available. the secret garden is lovely. dinner in the restaurant on saturday night was good.

the bathroom seemed a bit dated, it would have been nice to have my shower gel replaced for the second day. reception sat down when checking guests in and out, this seemed a bit lazy. the menu had limited options and was quite pricey.
