breakfast offered much choice, from full english to fresh fruit. the restaurant setting was lovely, it overlooked the garden. the staff were kind, always ready. checking in and out was easy, easy really.
the room felt hot, i couldn't adjust the heating. sleeping with the windows open was the only option for comfort.

the gardens were lovely with nice flowers
the food was poor i think the chef was having an off day the food was either too salty or overcooked it was dreadful the room wasnt much better i barely had room to move plus the shower drained poorly so i had to turn it off to prevent overflowing onto the bathroom floor

i found the hotel to be english through and through, almost like a grand manor home with so much charm. the bar, restaurant and the gardens were especially lovely, and the staff was excellent! i especially loved the little nook filled with cricket memorabilia, as the australian 1938 test team once stayed here.
The breakfast experience varied. While the first day was fine, the next day the options we chose were unavailable. the omelette i eventually ordered was simple and lacked the expected ingredients! i also experienced an upset stomach later.

i liked the nice interior design. the beer garden was also great. i did appreciate the restaurant with a sunny garden view, the breakfast were good.
a few issue inc room was very cold. the smart tv did not work good, maybe because of poor wifi signal. i did not enjoy climbing four flights of stairs to the room.

the staff were lovely , and my room had everything i needed. the breakfast offered a great variety from the menu , and the view from the breakfast window was beautiful. dinner was also great , i tried two mains over my stay , and both were delicious , not to mention the dessert.
the room was hot , i found no way of turning the heating down , and had to sleep with the windows open.
