Acceptable but Disappointing Food
quiet roomslow servicecold pork
The room was a good size and quiet.
I visited for Sunday lunch, the service was slow. My pork was stone cold, and there was too much food on the plate. I waited for a replacement plate, but everyone else had already finished their meals.
the pub offered complimentary warm bread as a cute nibble. i found the staff friendly and quick to respond to requests. the modern bistro decor with country pub vibes created a charming atmosphere. i enjoyed the lovely photography and seashell salt and pepper shakers.
navigating the narrow country roads to reach the location was slightly challenging.
Dining

the restaurant presented a reasonably broad menu with high-quality food and there were options available for both vegetarians and vegans. breakfast included a tasty porridge. the quality of meat was top tier, with beef that melted. the parsnip puree was also nice, and gravy was used sparingly.

Decent, but Not Quite Worth the Hype
well-equipped roomnarrow roadssmall dessert
The 'Superior King Suite' room was well-equipped.
The location proved harder to reach than expected. The roads were unexpectedly narrow. The dessert was also a letdown. I ordered a cherry Bakewell slice that seemed small for the price. It was more like half a Mr Kipling cherry Bakewell finger.
