excellent job very nice communication amazing food

The event manager Bethany did a excellent job. She was very nice with the communication. She made the process seamless, she arranged the room with specific decor and tables. The food at the reception was amazing with many vegan and vegetarian options.

enchanting historical escape

fine venue beautiful room sweet receptionist quiet spa

The venue is fine. our beautiful double or twin room was beautifully equipped. the location feels lovely! the receptionist staff were sweet, and they really couldn't do enough for us. i adored the quiet spa. It was such a treat.

there were some slight noises during the night, but it is to be expected from such an old place.

friendly staff helpful hand central location

The staff were friendly and helpful. the hotel has many steps and stairs. there were helpful hand bars along the corridors, a great help. the central location was a big plus, i enjoyed exploring the area.

i found that some areas are in need of some cosmetic updating, though this did not detract significantly from my stay.

historic charm shines!

vitality pool lounge areas easy parking

i particularly enjoyed the spa. it offered a vitality pool with a jacuzzi, the water temperature was set to 38c. A perfect way to unwind. there were plenty of public lounge areas available. i also appreciated the hotel's easy parking!

i noticed the carpet and seats were quite dirty upon my arrival. the mismatched crockery on the table was also a bit off putting. i asked for a china cup instead of steellite. i was told none were available, disappointing.

breakfast was very good. i liked that they cooked the hot food to order. the elegant breakfast room featured stiff white tablecloths adding to the dining experience, though it took some time to be served.
