mixed feelings on this visit

small spadated interior

I wasn't overly impressed, to be honest. the spa was quite small, and the steam room wasn't working . This was a letdown as i was really hoping to relax. the interior felt a bit dated and didn't match the grand exterior, it definitely needs some updating.

I loved the location. It is perfect for visiting the new forest area! the hotel had lots of character, and our room was very nice, even very comfortable. though the spa area was a bit tired, i found the facilities very useful to unwind after a walk in the forest. it was fantastic!

I did find the outdoor pool area a bit lacking. It needed more sunbeds.

the staff actively engaged in conversation with us. they provided great service (i appreciated that!). the staff was pretty much excellent in every department and was very helpful with directions.

i thought the food was very good! the wine list provided many wonderful choices, a nice surprise. the amazing breakfast included lovely table service.

the outdoor heated swimming pool was very nice, with sun loungers available for relaxation. the spa facilities were also very nice, and the spa therapists were very professional. the building itself is beautiful and set in fine grounds.
