the staff was friendly. the location was acceptable.

the wi-fi didn't work in the room. there were ants in the bathroom too. no one apologized, except on the last day, at check out when asked about my stay, i found this disappointing.

rude stafflimited breakfast

the front reception staff acted rude. i had booked a double bed room for four nights. upon arrival, i was given a two single beds room. i returned to reception and was told no double bed rooms were available and someone would come to push the beds together. it was not a good start. the breakfast room in the basement was not large enough so each day we were in a queue. we had to wait for people to leave before we could enter.

the receptionist provided excellent restaurant recommendations and travel advice. our room included necessary amenities and was clean. i found the location convenient, near parque eduardo vii and avenida da liberdade. the hotel staff surprised us with sparkling wine and a cake for our birthday, a very kind gesture.

i found the coffee pods in the room incurring an extra charge off-putting.
