a few issues

friendly staffsmall roomroad noise
the service was good overall. most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The room i booked was quite small. i am 5'8" and my feet almost touched the end of the bed! also, the noise from the road was disruptive at night, hard to sleep well. I found that irritating.

Really good Stay in the Lakes

attractive hotelcute staffwalking trailsdog station
I found the hotel very attractive, both inside and out, with a stylish ambience. The staff are cute (always a plus) and helpful. Three circular walks of varying lengths start and end at the hotel, so it is easy to walk without needing the car. The outdoor dog washing station is a nice touch, complete with dog towels.
The room was a bit too warm for me, even with the cooling fan running.
Dining
9/10
I enjoyed a really good breakfast with lovely options to choose from. The menu looked great and I really enjoyed my burger. They will book you a table for dinner each night of your stay. I thought it was a nice touch.
Location
10/10
The hotel offered a perfect location to start hiking directly from the hotel. The views of the mountains from the hotel were nice. I found the location very quiet and relaxing.
Rooms
9/10
The room was so lovely and had all the facilities I needed (every detail was thoughtfully considered). The inside decor is quite modern, with extensive use of wood. The ensuite was a wet room, great.
Service
10/10
The service was great and everyone was very friendly. All the staff were cute and helpful (going above and beyond is their standard). The attention to detail throughout the hotel was noticeable and added to the positive experience.
