Wonderful Family Stay

The staff provided a great experience from check-in onwards. We appreciated that the waitress remembered our hot drinks order on the second morning. Our rooms included complimentary tea, coffee, water, soft drinks, and biscuits. Elemis products were in the bathroom. These were large refillable bottles.
I stayed in the Gatehouse and found it a distance from the main hotel. It was a bit of a pain, especially since there was no option for breakfast in the room. I requested a tampon from reception, but apparently this is not catered for as standard.

Our room was well-equipped with fresh milk and additional pillows. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were clean and serviced daily with attention to detail. I really enjoyed the comfortable bedding.

Our evening meal offered a good range of options. I had the hangar steak. The skate was also very tasty. All courses were excellent and beautifully prepared, I must say.

the hotel features well-kept grounds that extend nicely. i found the staff very friendly and helpful when i needed assistance. the lounge area is comfortable, a good spot to relax with snacks or a drink after exploring the local area.
The television had limited channels available. I feel it could use an update to improve the viewing experience.

my room included two separate sinks, a large mirror and a rainfall shower, made getting ready easy. the room was very quiet and i was able to sleep well. i also had a coffee machine.

the location was pretty and rural. it was easy to find. walks around the grounds were possible. alfie provided excellent service. he was pretty good.
the restaurant was noisy, and tables were close together. the ceiling was low. there was no decaffeinated coffee in the bedroom. i had to walk on the grass when cars came. this was not acceptable during winter.

the grounds were surprisingly well kept. the staff was to manage a busy weekend without collapsing.
the lack of available tables annoyed me. i had the fish and felt a fish finger might have been more filling. for the prices charged, the portions are laughably small.

i found ample blue badge spaces, with easy access. i could use a mobility buggy onto the terrace. service was prompt, and orders came without delays. the front of house team shone, maintaining everything beautifully.
the room felt fairly basic, especially considering the price point, and it did not quite match my expectations for true luxury, such as the bathroom.

the grounds were beautiful. my sky tv access was a definite plus. the provided dyson fans ensured the room remained comfortable. the breakfast inclusion proved worthwhile, delivering a superb dining experience each morning. i found the staff to be friendly.
the gents toilets needed some attention, with the floor under the urinals requiring a more frequent cleaning schedule.
