Wonderful Stay!

heated jacuzzi bar atmosphere corner room great food

I enjoyed the use of the pool and jacuzzi areas a lot. It felt nice to sit in the bar near the fire and have a pint. Our room had a great location because it was a corner room, so we got a double outlook. I liked the food and the vibe in the restaurant.

The room walls were not soundproofed very well, and I could hear the person next door snoring.

The staff was friendly. They gave prompt assistance with requests. The check-in process was smooth. Staff addressed inquiries quickly. I felt valued as a guest.

good meals hotel grounds canal space broken holder basic menu shower attention

the meals were very good. there was plenty of space to walk around the hotel grounds after eating. i liked that you could sit and relax outside, especially around the canal. also, i could use the gym and swimming pool, only a short distance away.

on arrival in our room, the bathroom light wasn't working and the toilet roll holder was broken. the shower over the bath needed some attention. it is a shame these things weren't completed before i arrived. the lunch menu was very basic.

bathroom mould tired room

My stay had some disappointments. The room felt quite tired and needed some care. There was mould in the bathroom around the shower and floor edges. I found this a bit off-putting and it impacted the experience.

The location has lovely grounds. Spa facilities were quite good. The restaurant is well decorated and breakfast was very good. I found water in the room, a nice touch.

The carpet in my room had some stains. My bathroom seemed a little dated. Coffee was barely lukewarm from the machine and no microwave was available. The eggs were completely dry and overcooked.

english breakfast helpful staff

the breakfast buffet included a full English breakfast. i saw tea coffee and fruit juices. the staff was very helpful and friendly. the room had a safe fan iron and ironing board.

the jacuzzi was worn down.
