a dreamy lakeside escape

the pool was very modern, it was like a calming spa. the bar area felt wonderful, such a beauty spot. breakfast here becomes the best, really so tempting. i loved the Hawkshead jam, it has vanilla and raspberry, all homemade.

i found the corridors have bad smells. it's the only thing that really bothered me.

the rooms features high standards and lovely views. our room was big and had very nice furniture. fluffy towels are in abundance, i love that. the bed became so very comfortable.

the setting on the edge of Windermere is fine. it stands near the aquarium, boat pier and train station. you can easily ditch the car to catch a boat. hills roll, the lake glistens, what a wonderful scenery.

The breakfast was plentiful and very well laid-out!!! i enjoyed the comfortable and spacious room. It was also clean and well kept. i even saw a peacock strutting around the rooftop outside the window. My son named it 'gerald'!!!

the gym wasn't well maintained. i noticed rust on some weight machines. the drinks were quite expensive. i also found the games room to be somewhat lacking because the ps5 kit was missing.

the location is wonderful. easy access to river cruises exists. i loved the swimming pool in the spa. it was well appointed. the drinks terrace outside is comfortable and a great place to be on a sunny day. it allows watching activities on the lake.

service is chaotic at breakfast. staff are busy but no one explains the breakfast service. i complained last night about the long wait between starter and main course. they say they are very busy. surely they should accommodate the booked guests. the poor selection of the buffet breakfast lacks value for money.

i found the hotel to have a great location on the lake's edge. the aquarium, boat pier, and train station are nearby for easy access. i appreciated the quality decor and furnishings throughout the hotel. the lounge offered a superb view of the gardens (it was beautiful!) and the lake with many birds.

I felt the breakfast system was a bit slow. Waiting for coffee took longer than expected.
