the location was convenient and parking was available.
The room felt a bit small and seemed worn. It certainly did not match my expectations of a four-star hotel. the food also disappointed me, though my companion said the fish and chips were acceptable.

i booked a double room for a few nights. the room had great size and good equipment. all the staff i met were super friendly and helpful, very cheerful indeed!!! the breakfast was also good and represented good value.
i found the pub exterior to be quite dirty, and not well-kept like the inside. there were weeds everywhere, which needs addressing. i also noticed slow service when i ordered food.

the room was large. breakfast was great (i especially liked the fresh fruit).
the beds had winter duvets. these were too hot, so sleeping comfortably was a challenge. the food was mediocre.
