great place, but small issues

the gardens looked amazing and i loved walkings there. the bar offered nice cocktails and music played. there was also free parking available onsite. i found reception staff cute when i arrived at the building.

the breakfast food seemed average. my toast did not work in the toaster. the food was not overly warm at all. i think there should be more attention.

my family and i attended a family event with fifteen other guests. we enjoyed the festive menu in the library. the environment was lovely and the food delicious. the waiting staff were very attentive and polite, which i found helpful. i also noticed there was plenty of free parking on site and the location was quiet. the reception staff offered a warm welcome and the hotel was very clean.

the room was warm, and a fan was needed throughout the night. i believe air conditioning would be beneficial. i also saw that there were no toiletries in the room except for a single sachet of shampoo.

the beautiful double room was well-decorated with calming colors and included two fireside chairs. a tv, tea and coffee making facilities, and a fridge were available (very useful for storing drinks). the bathroom had fluffy towels and all necessary shower and bath products.

sunday lunch there was excellent. menu was excellent with great choice. the service from the staff was faultless. attention to detail was very excellent.

our room was very dull with dark grey wallpaper. i saw cobwebs around and spiders. a wasp was also in the room. the room was a long way from dining and reception.
