i loved the breakfast. it was very good. the location was great. my room was good. it was in a separate annex, but not quite as nice as the main hotel, though.
finding my room was very difficult. i am not familiar with the hotel. they sent me to a building without a guide, and it was annoying to find my way to the room. also, i wanted to take pictures of the beautiful views inside the hotel, but they did not allow us to enter the hotel.

i loved the fine grounds. all the staff were polite and accommodating to all my requests! the hotel was steeped in history. the woodland area has 40 acres to explore. it even had flowers to identify.

I got room upgrade FREE. The staff proved excellent, were efficient and helpful. We enjoyed the food served in the restaurant a great deal. My room was VERY quiet, clean, and also comfortable. I would consider going again.

i stayed in a garden lodge. the room was recently redone and lovely. it included a king-size bed, fridge and microwave. the gardens and lawns are lovely and well maintained with wooded walks.
the passage ways in the garden lodge were shabby. breakfast offered few choices for continental options. the staff had poor allergen awareness regarding gluten.
