comfortable bedrange of pillowsloud closing mechanism
the rooms are warm and cosy with a comfortable bed and a range of pillows, and breakfast was first class.
the doors have a very loud closing mechanism.. it kept me awake until late, and in the very early hours of the morning.

disappointing food quality, decent service
overcooked steaklong wait
I was pretty annoyed with the food. i ordered the fillet steak, it took ages to arrive, a frustrating wait. when it finally arrived, the steak was overcooked. it was the tail end of the fillet too. I didn't expect that for the price. i did get a reduction on the bill after complaining, but the quality was just not there.

the inside is completely transformed and has been updated very tastefully. lovely atmosphere exists. the staff were all friendly and helpful.
i visited for my anniversary dinner. we were shown to a small table in the midst of the packed dining room. the table next to us was so close you could hear every word of their conversation.

the room had thoughtful touches. a radio played softly upon arrival. sweet treats were available and i enjoyed the local paper. the bed and pillows proved very comfy. the linen felt beautiful.

My room had nice touches. The radio played when I arrived. I saw sweet treats and a local paper. A coffee machine was also available.
The doors were loud. I heard them closing late at night. I also heard them very early in the morning. A blind was broken in my room, which let in light.
