the rooms were super clean and the food was excellent quality. it was cooked well, too. as someone who enjoys a pint of guinness i was kinda surprised it was well kept so i enjoyed a couple of pints. the staff was helpful and i enjoyed my birthday stay.

the hotel is in a great location with fine views. you can choose where to eat, either in the pub or in the restaurant. access into the garden with an amazing tree fountain is available .

the staff was just really good, very cute. steak, beef, and cottage pie was one dish on the menu. my husband was also surprised to receive a wonderful birthday dessert specially made by the kitchen staff. breakfast has a great choice.

this nice hotel is close to waterfalls and walks over rolling green hills. aysgarth falls is a 5 minute walk downhill or you can go via the church grounds. bolton castle is worth a visit and is a 10 minute drive.

the hotel location was fine, a short walk to the falls, i suppose.
My room was not in the main building, it was in some annex, and it felt a bit like a forgotten corner. The heating was barely working.
