the staff was friendly and helpful, acceptable.
The bathroom smelled like mold. the heated towel rail was rusted, and there was unfinished woodwork. the towels had brown spots, and the picture over the bed was moldy. It felt horrible.

happy stay, great food

violette, a young staff member, knew her job and was assertive, this is rare nowadays. the food was cooked perfectly. we had breakfast here a few times and a carvery, i recommend the restaurant if you seek good food.
we wanted a room on the ground floor because our mobility isnt great. we had a small room and only a single chair for us both. it was not good.

the breakfast was a good selection, including fresh fruit and cereals. (i especially liked the pastries). the rooms were quiet, i got a good night's sleep.
The room seemed a bit small. There was only enough space for one chair. i noticed a musty smell in the room. It did not dissipate .
