Really good Stay in Transformed Historic Space

original doors high ceilings friendly staff

The building retains original doors, heavy locks, and window bars which add a unique feel. High ceilings create an open atmosphere. The garden is quite pretty and relaxing. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Breakfast was okay with mostly homemade items. it was the same every day.

a charming and serene retreat!

penthouse suite comfortable bed delicious breakfast

i stayed for three nights in the penthouse suite. it had amazing light at sunrise. the only sound i heard was birds chirping in the garden. the bed was very comfortable. the breakfast was delicious with plenty of balanced options. the common areas like the lounge and billiard room were very relaxing.

the receptionists seemed to refuse discussing compensation after an issue with hot water arose. no manager was available on sundays. the staff laughed about the situation as i left. i was offered drink vouchers but they were too little, too late.

the breakfast offered a good variety of options. it included many healthy and balanced choices. the coffee shop provided good coffee for lunch.

architectural marvel with historical echoes

prison architecture modern elements

I found the design very unique, blending former prison architecture with modern elements. the self-service kitchen provided complimentary treats each afternoon. I also enjoyed the lounge. the hotel's set back location made it a very quiet place.

the hotel bar and restaurant were closed for a private party one night. i was not notified about the closure in advance, and nearby alternatives were fully booked. this made dining arrangements inconvenient!

The hotel sits in a well connected area, a bit from the center. Easy access is provided via s-bahn and u-bahn lines! you can find several bars and restaurants offering different price options. it is near the upscale shops of kurfürstenstraße.

fantastic retreat luxury blend serene escape

the hotel offers a serene escape! it is an ideal spot for relaxation plus the surrounding garden area is a highlight! i found it a peaceful retreat. the rooftop pool is awesome. I could take a refreshing dip there.

open feel original doors friendly staff

the hotel has a clean vibe and feels warm. the high ceilings give it an open feel. there are original doors, heavy locks, bars, and thick walls! i appreciate the friendly staff.

the location is perhaps not the best if you want to explore the city.

elevator noise thin walls

the breakfast was quite good (the bread especially).

Our room was next to the elevator shaft, and the noise was constant. the walls seemed thin as well. I could hear conversations and other noise from neighboring rooms. this made it hard to relax or sleep well.
