Mixed feelings about my stay

slow servicefancy menu
I was not happy about that. I was on a higher floor. Hauling luggage up multiple flights of stairs wasn't fun at all. the staff seemed overwhelmed during breakfast. The service was slow, and my order was missing items. We asked for it but they seemed to ignore us. It was annoying. The menu was too fancy. I wanted a simple meal.

tasteless saladpoor service
I found the bar staff ignored me. It was quiet and i waited a good ten minutes while two staff made coffees. i ordered a pricey salad that included raw chard instead of salad. I didn't love the tasteless salad. i probably won't return because of the service and food.

Acceptable stay overall

wonderful designfriendly staffhelpful staffhot roomnoisy air conditioningpoor sleep
The hotel design was wonderful. The staff was amazing. Everyone I met was genuinely friendly. They were also very helpful.
The room was hot. It was not a hot day or evening. All three windows were open. There was a plug in air conditioning unit already set up in the room though it made a lot of noise so I didn't sleep very well.

Wonderful Seaside Retreat

clean roomfree parkingfriendly staff
The room was clean, and the staff seemed helpful and friendly. I had free parking at the hotel, very convenient. The restaurant offered plenty of outdoor seating, and dogs were welcome, very nice. I enjoyed the fudge and chocolate treats in my room.
My room faced a side road, and it was a bit noisy. It was also rather warm and stuffy.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice. The dining room had been updated and reflected the colours of the sea, very pleasing. The seafood linguini portion was generous, maybe too much for one person to finish.
Location
8/10
The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea. The beach is very close. It has good transport links. Accessing nearby towns is easy. The hotel is situated on a very busy junction near a main road.
