Excellent Stay in the Cotswolds

elegant decorfriendly staffquality ingredientsinconvenient socket
I found the building aesthetically pleasing and the interior design quite elegant. The staff members were genuinely friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast had many options, with high-quality ingredients. It was really plentiful. I found both the Pen and Cob rooms had comfortable beds and nice linens.
I had a minor issue with the lack of a wardrobe in the loft room. There was nowhere convenient to plug in a hairdryer near a mirror, not ideal.
Rooms
9/10
The room featured beautiful design and included a large en suite bathroom. The bathroom had both a separate shower and a bath. I found the provided complimentary toiletries to be of high quality.
Location
10/10
I appreciated the free parking available on the quiet street outside the hotel. The inn's location in a quiet village offered a peaceful setting. The outdoor garden features comfortable furniture adding to its relaxed atmosphere.
Dining
9/10
The pizza served in the garden was AMAZING!!! I dined in the pub both evenings and appreciated the great service. The varied menu has options catering to different tastes. The staff was knowledgeable about the wine list.

Charming Inn Experience

beer gardengood wifilimited parking
I found a classic inn with a lively pub atmosphere and a lovely beer garden. The buildings boast beautiful stonework, and my room offered good WiFi along with comfortable surroundings (I really appreciated the attention to detail). I thought the food was great. I enjoyed my time there.
I noticed the free parking had severely limited spaces. It appears there are no reserved parking spots specifically for hotel guests. I wish there was a better system for ensuring parking availability.
Dining
9/10
The breakfast included delicious local products. It felt very homemade. The hotel operates a very good restaurant and the food is very delicious, but dinner is expensive. Other restaurants offer main courses at around £15, while here it is £24 per dish.
Service
10/10
The staff was friendly and accommodating, particularly toward children. I found the lady on the bar with curly hair to be lovely and helpful. She helped. I had a relaxed service during dinner and enjoyed the staff's cute attitude.
Rooms
9/10
My room was beautifully decorated and the bed proved comfortable for a good night's sleep. The room size was excellent. The family room features two levels with two single beds, one double bed, and a large bathtub upstairs. Downstairs, there are two sofas.
Location
9/10
The hotel is located in a beautiful village that is very cute. It is a great area for local walking. It provides convenient access to nearby Oxford and other Cotswold villages (I definitely recommend exploring the area). The village setting is peaceful.
