Okay stay at a high price

friendly stafftasty foodpicturesque locationpoor mattressroom insulationcombined mattresses
The staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. The food was tasty, particularly lunch and breakfast. The location is indeed picturesque (with the village charm adding to its appeal).
The mattress in the room seemed like two single mattresses pushed together. I found it difficult to sleep on as it was not in great shape. The room 'the angelos' was not properly insulated (i felt cold wind coming through the old windows).

serene spotsspacious bathroomunreliable wifislow bar service
i adored how the gardens offered such serene spots for quiet reflection , the meticulously kept flowerbeds were an absolute dream. our beautiful double room had a very spacious bathroom , it featured both a rainfall shower and a separate soaking tub.
i found the wifi connection to be quite unreliable , i struggled to stay connected for any length of time. the service in the bar was often slow , sometimes i had to wait an unusually long time to be served.

stained carpetsinconsistent service
Our room was not up to standard. the carpets had very visible stains. the old wardrobe was difficult to open. i saw cobwebs on the curtain pole and in the window. the room service was also inconsistent. On the second day, the bed was not made properly and the towels were not folded. this really detracted from my experience.
