Inconsistent Experience at Historic Hotel

limited breakfast buffet refused late checkout

The breakfast service was quite disappointing. The buffet lacked variety. I noticed a limited selection of breads and no honey. the cooked English breakfast included bacon that was too hard and peculiar baked beans with an unusual chili flavor. The hotel also refused a late checkout. The receptionist dismissed my request without checking availability.

The building itself has jaw-dropping opulence. the staff were attentive, it was a once in a lifetime experience. our room was perfect, it had a generously sized shower and bath. Plus a tv in the mirror.

breakfast was awful, i found the buffet had no cereals. the cooked english breakfast was dreadful and the bacon was so hard. toast is cheap sliced bread variety, it really disappointed me.

I enjoyed a unique detail, the tea timers added charm to the afternoon tea. the drawing room presented an intimate, wood-panelled space that overlooked historic whitehall, a plus. i found felicia particularly attentive. She cared for us with humour and character.

during breakfast, i found the menu had a few spelling errors, a minor oversight in an otherwise flawless setting.
