balanced room and service

cityscape viewsuperb servicesingle bedshurting back
the floor-to-ceiling windows in my standard king room offered a nice cityscape view. the hotel's superb service made ordering additional items easy (i got extra coffee).
the king bed was two singles pushed together. this meant i woke up in the middle of the night in the gap, with a hurting back.

drab decorcheap fittings
The room decor felt a little drab. it lacked some imagination, and i noticed cheap fittings. the location wasn't the best either. There wasn't much around (i had hoped for more vibrancy in the area) and it felt rather soulless.

good servicerude manageractivated alarm
The room included an iron, ironing board, hairdryer, and fridge. The restaurant and bar offered good service.
The fire alarm was activated in the early hours multiple times because of another guest. When I complained, the manager was rude and abrupt. I found this behavior UNACCEPTABLE.
