the hotel location proved accessible. it was a short walk from the tram station. the restaurant was nearby and easily reached too.

the water pressure in the shower did vary, it changed from hot to cold.

mixed experience at this hotel

noisy air ventunsafe feeling

the lack of a dedicated reception area was a real issue. i received an email about express check-in, but it was pointless. check-in happened in the restaurant, dependent on staff availability amidst restaurant customers. i also found the noisy air vent disrupted my sleep and there was no answer when i called the night porter, i rang several times. i didn't feel safe.

thin mattressintermittent water

The sofa bed mattress was super thin. I felt the metal bars when laying down. it also creaked loudly when i moved. the water pressure was really intermittent . It would start okay and then a minute later, it would just be a trickle. the taps were the same. It meant i had boiling hot water and then freezing water next. it wasn't very pleasant.

mixed feelings about my stay

dusty roomunwashed teaspoons

my room felt a bit neglected. there was dust in several spots, and i found some hairs on the toilet seat, which wasn't very appealing. additionally, the lampshade wasn't properly attached (a definite fire hazard, i thought). i reported it to the manager, and while i appreciated being moved to another room, it wasn't much better, and the teaspoons hadn't been cleaned properly (a small thing, but it adds up).

The location was acceptable. It's pretty central.

The room i had was not great. It was a 'double room'. there was a noticeable smell of drains and sewage. also, the water pressure in the shower fluctuated wildly, turning the water scalding hot then freezing cold every few seconds, it.

the hotel location IS very convenient. it was near the train station, a walk of about 5 minutes. breakfast was really excellent with fresh items. the staff were lovely and arranged an early check in for me, which i appreciated.

i experienced some issues with my room. the room was very dark and felt quite dingy. dust was present throughout the room, maybe it hadn't been dusted in a while. i also noticed a strange odour coming from the bathroom sink.
